It’s an RSS Icon!
What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. What RSS allows you to do is to subscribe to a website or blogsite through its “feed”. This feed then goes into an RSS Feed reader and you get articles from any site that you subscribe to in a condensed summary type format. To view the entire article, simply click on the headline and you’ll go straight to the site to continue reading.
RSS Icons
RSS icons are images with a universal “broadcast symbol” on them. On this site, the RSS icon is this little guy reading the paper and you can see the broadcast symbol on the paper. You’ll see that symbol on ot
her images and always denotes where you click to subscribe to that sites feed.
Just clicking on this icon will take you to a page where you can then choose which RSS reader you’d like your feed to go to.

Email Subscriptions
Email subscriptions come directly to your email box. They also come in a summary format so you can quickly browse the post to see if you see something that interests you to go to the site. However, with as much spam as there is out there some people prefer RSS to email subscriptions.
Most email subscriptions prompts look similar to this or you may be prompted to go to an entirely different page. On our site, your information is never shared with anyone and is only used to contact you about new articles or if something of particular note occurs, there may be a special posting that lets you know that as well.
If you have any questions about subscribing, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
