Home Inspectors

John Durborough, Area Realty Inspection, 916-966-2298

Unless for some reason John and my schedule didn’t work out, I’ve used him for virtually every home inspection I’ve needed for the entirety of my career in real estate.  He is a general contractor and is so thorough that there won’t be rocks that remained unturned in the landscaping much less inside any home he inspects.  If I need a home inspection and to depend on someone to do it right, I call John.

I called Erik in a panic as I needed a home inspection when I couldn’t coordinate with John Durborough. He did an excellent job and was very reachable.  His report was thorough and very easy to understand.  He took over the business from his father and has extensive experience in the home inspection industry.

Tax Records

These sites are especially helpful in finding out what the costs of the Mello-Roos Community Facilities District taxes.  In Placer County, you won’t always be able to pull up the current year tax records so go for the prior year.  I haven’t had any issues with this page coming up.

Both of these sites require that you have the APN or assessor’s parcel number for the property in question.  If you don’t have it, call or email and I’ll help you get it.  It’s easy.

Mello Roos could increase by a small percentage per year so while the number from last years tax bill won’t be exact, it will be very, very close to what you’ll see on your tax bill.
