The foreclosure crisis, precipitated by the rough economic times, has hit the higher end home market and we will begin see more foreclosures and short sales in the upper end homes.

This being the case, it’s a great time to buy a luxury home in our area.  Prices have come down dramatically and what used to be priced at $1.5 mil is now priced slightly above or below $1.0 mil.

With fewer buyers in the market for these homes and the resulting longer days on market, even seller’s with equity are willing, now more than in recent years, to be a bit flexible on what they will take to get their homes  sold.
